What is a SEPA bank transfer?
The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) is a payment-integration initiative of the European Union for simplification of bank transfers denominated in euros.
As the SEPA transfers are specific to Euro transfers, this feature is only available for the following 36 countries:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden, the 3 EEA countries of Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland, and also Switzerland, Monaco, and Britain (despite Brexit).
What is the commission?
The cost associated with the SEPA transfers is 0.65% per transaction, capped at 3€.
It means that the commission will remain at 3€ for any transfer above 461€.
How does it work?
You can make a SEPA transfer request directly from the reservation page.
From the Summary:
Or from the Payments tab:
Fill the amount you want to request, click on bank transfer, fill your guest's email address, and click on Send:
An email will be sent to your guest with the relevant information to proceed with the transfer:
IBAN, Account Owner, Bic/Swift, Reference, Type, Amount.
A unique and temporary IBAN is automatically generated for each transaction, connected to your AmenitizPay account, allowing the tracking of transfers.
Upon reception of the email, your guest will be able to follow the usual steps to proceed with the transfer:
Enter their own bank account and fill in all the information to proceed with the payment.
Once the payment is made on your guest’s side, it might take up to two full business days for the money to reach your AmenitizPay account. As soon as it is received, it will be seen as a normal AmenitizPay payment:
If your guest pays less than expected, a new request will be sent to complete the payment, and you will be notified.
If your guest pay more than requested, you will need to contact your guest to handle the situation.
You can also send the SEPA transfer request when creating a reservation, as explained in this article.
